Daniel Island, Beresford Hall & Beresford Creek Landing Residential Curbside Service
RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS ONLY
Dear Daniel Island Recycling Customers:As you are now aware, as of February 2, 2012, there will be another company offering a curbside recycling service on DI. Considering this new service and the rate being offered, we will, regretfully, cease our RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE operations on the island effective July 1st.
HOW DOES THIS EFFECT YOU?:
FACTS:
- The new service will be providing (1) 18 gallon bin (you currently have 2 22 gallon bins) – for a weekly single stream service.
- The one bin (and additional bins) is available for purchase for $10.00. Or, you can use your own.
- There will be a Request for Proposal put out to waste haulers in February to offer trash AND recycling service for the Daniel Island areas.
- This NEW contract will be awarded and implemented in late June or early July.
We are encouraging all EXISTING customers with renewal dates prior to June 30, 2012 to see their service term through until their expiration date.
Unfortunately, we will not be taking any more renewals or new customers after January 25, 2012.
OPTIONS:
- Keep your service until expiration on June 30th.
- Keep your bins with no prorated refund
- Return (1) bin to 2750 Avenue B North for ½ prorated refund (directions on www.fisherrecycling.com)
- Return (2) bins to 2750 Avenue B North for full prorated refund
Refund checks will be cut through our office on 10th and 20th of each month.
