Why compost?
It's nature's way of recycling!
- Help reduce the burden on local landfills.
- Lower the amount of methane in the atmosphere. Methane is a climate-change gas that's 22 times more powerful than CO2!
- Using compost reduces the need for water, fertilizers and pesticides and ultimately promotes higher agricultural crop yields for our local farmers.

We offer food waste bins and curbside collection of the following compostable materials six days a week.

Acceptable items:
  • Pre-consumer food waste
  • Post-consumer food waste
  • Consumable liquids
  • Paper products
  • Cardboard

Unacceptable items:
  • Raw meat or raw fish
  • Butcher cuttings or renderings
  • Plastic of any type
  • Wood, metal, glass or other non-food items
  • Non-consumable liquids
