Recycling for Restaurants, Hotels, Offices, Condominiums and Apartments

We recycle glass, office paper and cardboard for restaurants, hotels, offices, condominiums and apartment complexes. On average, 23% of commercial waste is glass. That percentage is even higher locally with the many bottles discarded from restaurants and hotels. Unfortunately, many companies don’t realize that glass being put in a "blue bin" is not truly recycled and is instead taken to a landfill.

Fisher is the only waste hauler who is actually recycling glass in the tri-county area. To date, we have collected over 8 million pounds of glass thanks to local businesses that are making social corporate responsibility a priority. Much of the glass collected is processed and reused in our family’s product line, GlassEco Surfaces. Excess glass is then hauled to a glass recycling plant in Beaufort, South Carolina, to give the glass new life in other ways. We love the fact that we recycle all of our glass in the state of SC!

We can typically reduce a company’s dumpster sizes and pulls which saves them money. Our process starts with a complimentary waste audit. We encourage you to examine what our customized programs offer your industry as far as service, frequency and education. These factors of the program will affect the success of your recycling and trash storage. The more your staff knows about recycling, the more effective our recycling solutions for your business will be.

Kickin’ Chicken is one of the many fine businesses in the Lowcountry that is making social corporate responsibility a priority by recycling their glass.

Our Process

We have designed a four-step introductory process that conserves your time while ensuring that we are creating the best recycling solution for your business.

1 Waste Audit

Our complimentary waste audit is conducted by trained and experienced members of our team. A simple walk-through of your restaurant, hotel, office or facility will give us the information we need to develop the best, most cost-effective recycling solution for your business.

2 Recycling Solution Design

Our recycling solutions are based completely on the needs of your business. The range of frequency for our services is from once a month up to five days a week. Our staff will work with you to determine what solution will work best for your business. We supply a variety of containers for work stations, wait stations and hotels.

3 Education

We offer educational sessions for all new clients, as well as seasonal and permanent employees. The key to maximizing the return on your company’s recycling solution is to educate all members of your staff on HOW and WHAT to recycle, and most importantly – to monitor your waste.

4 Evaluation

Fisher Recycling will assess your business recycling solution on an annual basis, determining whether or not the solution still meets the needs of the business. This evaluation will tell us whether or not we need to update our scheduling of your pick-up, adjust the bin quantities at your location and address other service related issues. Evaluations are also available upon request.

Sponsor a Drop Site

In addition to leveraging our commercial recycling services, companies can sponsor a residential drop site or pop-up event for glass recycling. This creates opportunities for residents in the area to learn about glass recycling and become a part of our mission to divert glass from the landfills. It’s a great way to gain exposure in the community and show your commitment to social corporate responsibility.
